What Are You Thankful For?

All six of my "two and unders" were here today. I'm thankful for A FOUR DAY WEEKEND!

  1. I'M THANKFUL FOR LIFE AND HEALTH AND ALL THY GOODNESS SENDS, to quote my late father-in-law as he prayed before each meal. I'm thankful for family, retirement, chocolate, and a safe environment to live in; not necessarily in that order. We will have our Thanksgiving tomorrow at Penny's house. Went to Streeter yesterday with 92 year old Mother and Penny to attend a dinner that some friends (Erbele's) have had each year since they lost their son and grandson (Cassidy) in a farm accident. Many people attend who would have no other place to go, so it is a wonderful event. Mom and Dad always went since we always have celebrated Thanksgiving on the Sat following that holiday. I'm making pumpkin swirl cheesecake, chocolate pie (in honor of Dad) and peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. Making you hungry, HUH??

  2. Hi Bev! I'm thankful for all of those things, too (well...maybe not retirement, but esp. chocolate). Happy Saturday to your family. Thanks, too, for making me hungry. (I didn't eat dinner yet because my cat Eddie fell asleep on the couch right beside me, and I didn't want to wake him up!!!!)

  3. I am thankful for a husband who puts up with his 2 women and also helps with housework and cooking! I am thankful for a daughter who is doing wonderful things for others, is cheerful all the time (well she deserves some down time), and only has occasional minor health problems. I am thankful for a son who (after we were there in August) went through moving (his wonderful condo rental was sold), losing a colleague to a horrific hiking fatality, recouped from a bout of bells palsy, and had to have his Jeep repaired. I am thankful for my sisters and brothers, extended family and friends. I am thankful for the grace of God who somehow saw fit to let me remain on earth!
