In yesterday's comments, Dave mentioned Cedar Rock, the Frank Lloyd Wright house at Quasqueton (not too far from Waterloo). I had forgotten about the house...if anyone's interested in architecture, this would probably be worth the trip. I also just remembered the Bily clock exhibit at Spillville. We took the kids to visit this museum years ago...I was very impressed. You can check out both of these attractions at the following websites:

It was great to have you comment, Dave and Wendy! Dave, how is Amy, ready to have this all over with? Has Nancy finished with work by now? What kinds of things did you buy for your house to make the little miss feel welcome? Wendy, your boys are awesome! When I think how young they are and what they have accomplished! Really wish we could see them in competition, bring some movies this summer. Michele Grant has been in the hospital for a couple of days with face/eye infection. She emailed Jenn and Jenn called her tonight. Getting lots of meds, but they don't know exactly what is going on yet. How is everyone else?

ReplyDeleteMichele is doing OK...they think it is an infection but not sure what kind so she's on IV and oral antibiotics as well as steriod eye drops and other eye drops. She said they were going to do more blood work today. She sounded good, but bored :)
