Yesterday, I listed lots of things to keep the kids entertained while here in Iowa. There are also "grown up friendly" things, too. There are many, many options, so I'll just throw out a few ideas:
Guys' Day Out...We have several fantastic golf courses...tennis courts, too. Also...John Deere offers an interesting tour of their factory.
Girls' Day Out...A spa day would be fun if anyone out there wants or needs to be pampered. And/or lunch at "Barn Happy", shopping on the parkade in downtown Cedar Falls, and cupcakes at Scratch Cupcakery.
Waterloo and Cedar Falls have great bars and clubs for night life for anyone who's interested.
We also have a casino for anyone who wants to lose some money!!!!!!! : (
And, of course, there will be great conversation and delicious food!
The Wellers, Nugents, and "The Royal Family" are committed to seeing that everyone has a great time, so please let us know what you'd like to do while here!
Happy Birthday, Aaron!!!
Thanks for the info, Farm Girl. Looks like there is plenty of things to do and see. The boys checked out the Lost Island Water Park on the web-hope the weather cooperates. They are interested in the Dan Gable Musuem too. I love petting zoos-does that sound weird?LOL The boys did well in the tournament. Alex took 3rd -he was sore on Sunday-he had 7 matches on Sat and 4 on Fri night. Lane took 4th. Alex got beat out in the National Tryouts, but that's ok-he was an emotional wreck after losing a hard match on Friday and another one on Sat. Congrats to Jen!! Have a good week everyone!

Hi Wendy! It sounds like you had a big weekend. I remember how stressful team sports were...I can't imagine what it's like for the boys in wrestling! I like petting zoos, too. The one we have here is small but nice...Tyler really likes it. Maybe we can take Madison and Tyler when you're here. Talk to you soon...have a good week! : )
ReplyDeleteHi Dave! Thanks for your suggestions. I'd forgotten about the Frank Lloyd Wright House. I know that Adam and Lucille have both toured the house. Diane, Dave...have you been there? I haven't, but I'd be willing to go if others also want to.
