K's turn to decorate cookies...she wasn't really interested in frosting the cookies or even in decorating them. However, as soon as she discovered that the extra sprinkles fell off the cookies and into the bowl, she was all about that. When mom picked her up, her lips and fingers were bright red! Tomorrow...Ty's turn.
Farm Girl, do things really happen in 3's? Sunday night, our frig freezer was -40 and the ice cream was rock hard, so Owly Man cleaned and cleaned and the next morning the frig was way warm. The appliance guys came to look and found nothing wrong. It seems to be fine but now the dryer will not heat, so the guys (same appliance store) will come back tomorrow to look at it. What next? Maybe it has happened, the car is low on oil! Will let you know!
ReplyDeleteFor me, it happens in the millions. But you have better luck than me so, hopefully, that's all!
ReplyDeleteHi! Farm Girl, I have neglected to comment on the good news from Derek that he and Amanda are engaged. So are they planning a big wedding?? I kinda waited for someone else to comment, but then remembered that Owly Lady and Lu don't have facebook so they didn't even see the announcement. Anyway, hope all goes well with the wedding plans.
ReplyDeleteOwly lady, sounds like you have the appliance blues. Hope nothing else happens.
We went to Medina to have supper for Micah's 30th last night and when I was going to get into the pickup, I fell and landed on my left knee( the one I had reploaced). It is swollen and sore, but I didn't go to see my doc because I didn't think there was anything he could do.
Did you realize that this year will be:
Micah's 30th; Kelley's 40th and Wendy's 50th? None of them are very happy with those numbers.
Thank you for the valentine postcard, Farm Girl and the hearts that frame your blog site. Good nite.
Thanks butterfly lady for posting my age for everyone to see-Ha-JK! I didn't mind turning 40-but 50-yuck! I am still trying to convince my boys that I will only be turning 49 this year. Oh, well, what can you do? Owly Lady-my fridge freezer turned warm one time when I was renting, but it was because I used a hammer to beat the ice with(there was alot) and one of the claws got stuck in the top of the freezer and I heard a hssssst sound-all the freeon came out. I think that was the same week where I ran out of dishwasher detergent and used plain dish detergent and came upon a kitchen floor full of soapy suddys(?sp) water which was overpouring out of the dishwasher. I don't have to worry about that anymore, since I haven't had a dishwasher for over 20 years! Now I don't want to hear any blonde jokes coming from those stories. Farm Girl-I am still bad about licking the icing bowl, my fingers, the spoon/knives. Lane and I were fighting over who was going to lick the brownie batter spatula and bowl the other night(he won). He also put a note on the last brownie in the pan-that said "Lane's-don't touch". Hope everyone has a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteFarm girl....NIIIICE!!!!! :) THANKS!! Hope to see you soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Bev! Sorry to hear that you fell; I hope you're feeling better. It is melting like crazy here today, so I have to make sure I put some ice melt on my sidewalk (the dripping from the roof freezes overnight and creates a skating rink by my front door). As far as Derek and Amanda's plans...I'm sure that Derek will keep everyone posted on Facebook. I'm "out of the loop" since they're in NC and I'm in Iowa. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeletePS...Tell Micah, Kelley, and Wendy that I'll be glad to trade "numbers" with them! : )
Hey Wendy! Your "fridge freezer" story is so funny...I have felt like doing that same thing to my appliances...MANY TIMES! And who hasn't put regular dish soap in the dishwasher..I know I have! Whoops...messy mistake. Last night, I made two chocolate chip pizzas for a fundraiser; I was glad no one was around so I could have what was left in the bowl all to myself! Take care!
ReplyDeletePS...Did Lane get the last brownie???
Hi Jenn! You are welcome! : )
