Self-Imposed Time out

This morning, there was a very small problem between Ty and B, so I called Ty over to talk to him. After our talk, he looked stricken, said "Time Out", walked over to the wall, and stood facing the wall (so close that his little nose was smushed). About ten seconds later, I said, "Time out's all done". He walked over to B, said, "Sorry, B" and then continued playing. Such a sweet, sensitive little guy!

  1. Isn’t it true that pregnant women often crave DQ blizzards? JK

Sheryl: Is googling cheating? If so I cheated. I couldn’t even think of any Como songs other than the ones Jenn & Diane guessed, so I googled Perry Como. Gosh, he had a huge repertoire. When I got to the H’s I said, “Hot dog! `Hot Diggitty` ” could be it. Sure would love to hear those little tykes singing it. —Googling is a skill I only just recently learned.

Jenn, pls describe that awesome demo chair mentioned in the Jan 26 post. —My Anthon H S friend Marjorie Fey Farris uses a wh-ch so I tease her about her FARRIS WHEELS. Most likely everyone else does too!

Sheryl, try serenading Tyler w/ “Mockin' Bird Hill” (Les Paul-Mary Ford). Both Maryann & Peter were taken by that song from the start. Toddler M was so enchanted the first time I sang it that she begged for many repeats. As soon as she woke up the next morning she wanted to hear it again. Another song Pete has always loved: Fats Domino’s “Blueberry Hill.” Hey, two Hills there. —And of course they get a kick out of “The Doggie in the Window.” Bev, have you sung any of these to Madison? If you gals don’t remember the words, tell me & I’ll send ’em to you. Though I bet they can be found on line.

Is Eddie fixed? Peter has been bringing home Animal Ark books, about some vets & the critters they deal w/. Birthing is described pretty vividly. So I took advantage of that to bring up the topic of birth control & vasectomies. I don’t think age 10 is too early for this discussion.

Diane: yes, I seem to be done with shingles. (Lack of whining from Fresno was probably your first clue.) But I talk up the vaccine every chance I get. Don’t want anyone except maybe Osama bin Laden to go through what I went through.

P S Dave & Nancy: just got your e from Mexico. (She said enviously) Glad you're having such a good time. How's Amy?

  2. Hi Lucille! No, Googling is not "cheating". I google all the time...local, national, and world news and weather...even the lyrics of songs. In fact, I googled Perry Como songs, too (wanted to make sure I had the correct spelling for "Hot Diggitty". Have a great week! : )
