For those of you who are interested in live theater performances, I know that the Old Creamery Theater at the Amanas will be showcasing
G.I. Jukebox next June. G.I. Jukebox is a musical comedy that depicts a 1940's USO Tour featuring big band, swing, and latin music. The Old Creamery has been around for years; I've seen many of their perfomances...all have been great! If anyone's interested in attending, there's a 3 PM matinee on Wednesday, June 22.
I think most of our family will be leaving on the 22nd (not positive) but I would certainly be interested in going to the Old Creamery. Have you thought about whether Karel and Nancy would be interested in coming to the Barn on the Bluff on Sunday and then leaving from there? Don't know what time they have to leave, but we could all have brunch there and spend the rest of the day visiting, playing board games, etc. I'm excited to think that maybe we could all be together under one roof for at least a day.
ReplyDeleteWe went to see Alex wrestle yesterday in Valley City. Met W and W and Lane there. Alex wrestled in the 65 lbs. division. He wrestled 4 boys and pinned them all - one in 32 seconds. We were really glad to be able to see him in action. He has only been in wrestling for about 2 weeks because he was playing basketball before that. Lane has been doing so well on the varsity team at 14-15 years old at Bismarck High School. This coming weekend is the regional in Mandan and then the State tournament is the 17-20 in Fargo. Wade , Wendy, and Alex are going down for the whole four days. I plan on going to Mandan if the weather allows and then to Fargo for a couple of days. Don't know about that car salesman of mine. He's doesn't like to take any time off, so I told Wendy that she would have to talk to him.
No, I haven't sung any of those songs to Maddie. The ones I sing are "You Are My Sunshine", The ABC song, Rock A Bye Baby, and some of the songs from the cartoons that she watches. She is nearly completely potty trained (except at night) but she tells everyone when she has to go potty. She gives me a high five after she is done.
Time for brunch. Take care!
Lu. are you thinking/planning on coming in June? Would you be coming alone or who might come with you? What housing would you like to have? Time is flying by! Butrfly lady, what would K&K and kids like for housing. K&N and M&twins can't stay with Farm Girl because of allergies to cats. I know she would like some company!
ReplyDeleteHi Bev! I don't know what Karel and Nancy's plans are for sure...I guess we'll know more when it gets closer to June. I know that I'd be glad to go to the Old Creamery with you if that's something we decide to do. Maybe Diane and Lucille, too? (A sister's day would be fun!) Sounds like Alex and Lane are very athletic...lots of fun for them and the family! Good luck to Lane at Regional and State...I hope the weather cooperates for all of you. Good for Maddie...I have only one who is potty trained as well as she is. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteDiane, Thanks for organizing everyone's housing arrangements. Have a good week!
