We have had many requests for nice weather from June 17-23. Great news...According to our local meteorologists, the weather here will be PERFECT during those dates!
Sheryl, thanx 4 the v. complete info, which arrived Friday. Same day as our house guests. Yes, must admit I did some cleaning. Also: school ended last week so extra activities for us oldsters. Robt had several appointments, including FOUR HOURS with me at the DMV to renew his driver’s license. Sunday: church, eating out, grocery shopping. Maryann left late that day for her East coast adventure. I was v. much involved in her preparations. To borrow Diane’s phrase, crazy busy.
Yes, it’s a shame that Karel & family can’t make it. It would’ve been the first time since Drew’s funeral that all 6 of us siblings were together.
A cousin of ours that I’ve been friends with for several years is Connie Black Ondracek. Her grandpa was Clayton Black, our grandpa Harry’s brother. She’s an interesting, active, NICE, down-to-earth gal who lives at Blairstown, a little west of Cedar Rapids, with her husband Lonnie. —Connie & Lonnie, how about those names? Connie’s in between Diane’s & Dave’s ages. She’ll most likely come to Waterloo Monday and meet up with whoever of us is at the water park. Wants to get acquainted with more cousins!
Hi Lucille! I'm sure you are always CRAZY busy! How do you keep track of your schedules, pick up/drop off times etc.? We used to have a HUGE calendar posted on the side of our refrigerator...it was color-coded for each of A, J, and D's activities. There is a restaurant (excellent food) in Waterloo called "CU". Its name is derived from the symbol for copper. PS...I found Blairstown, Iowa on the map!!!!!
