I know that you are all SO anxious to make the trip to Iowa this summer (you have started packing, right?). Diane and I have been asked for the prices of the activities listed in the surveys. I plan to list this info. with the itineraries that I send out. I'm planning to work on the itineraries during Memorial Day weekend; if you need the info before then, just let me know! The guidance counselor at the Jr Hi took the idea of inviting teachers to meet with former students, from my old principal. So last Wed, I met my last class for lunch (retired in 03) they are now finishing the eighth grade. I gave them each a b/w copy of the K class composite and took them a Mars candy bar, telling them by the time they are my age they may be living on Mars! What fun, the memories they shared and joked with each other about! It was sad to think that I won't be able to do that again, at least I can still go to Sr breakfasts for a few more years.
ReplyDeleteI certainly am looking forward to the IA trip. Thanks for all the planning you two have done. How great that Owly lady got to see her last K class. Nice that the school plans those events. As for Am. Idol, I'm voting for Scotty. I've liked him from the beginning since I am a country music fan. He will have a recording contract no matter what. Did you see Josh Turner come on stage at Scotty's hometown? He was flabbergasted, to say the least. Seems like such a nice young man. Hope we get to see the finals since today is supposed to be the end of the world. TTYL

ReplyDeleteHi Bev! At this point, I'm rooting for Scotty, too. He and his family seem like genuinely nice people. It was really touching to see his tears in reaction to his NC fans and his reaction to Josh Turner appearing on stage. If we all lived closer, we could have an "Idol" party next week...I know a few people who do that.
