Any Idol watchers out there tonight? I've been watching bits and pieces...quite a star studded event! At the writing of this post, the winner has yet to be named...
Yes, my Scotty won!! He was so elated and hugged everybody. He and Lauren both got new cars and did you see the part where the teachers who had helped he and Lauren so much got a new car, too? Madison was here while her Daddy mowed cemeteries in Streeter and Grandma Penny was in Fargo on her birthday day off from Noridian. She didn't like the fact that I was watching the show in the sunroom while she was watching cartoons in the living room and kept saying, " Come on Gramma Beb. Sit with me and don't watch Amercan Idol." So I only watched bits and pieces, too, but made sure I was there at the last minute when they announced the winner. Sun in shining here today too, but it was 35 degrees this morning and parts of the state had frost and Bismarck is fighting flood waters from the Missouri River now. What next?? Did you get a new Dodge Durango, Farm Girl? I've seen them on TV and they look great! Good for you!!
I watched the American Idol finale-it was a good show. They had quite the mixture of entertainers from Tom Jones to Judas Priest to Lady Gaga. We are having quite the chaos with flooding in Bismarck due to having to release water from the Garrison Dam-it flows downstream and the Missouri River is at flood stage and rising-so the people on the south side of town are scrambling. Alex's 6th grade class went and helped sand bag yesterday and when Lane was done with final tests, he left school to go help too. I am so thankful we live where we do, not to have to worry about it. Trevor and Taylor may have to move-they are a couple of blocks from the zoo and park which is by the river. They live in the basement apt of a house that Taylor's mom owns. Last day of school is tomorrow! We will be officially be done with elementary school which is kind of sad. I have next week off and will be planting flowers, garden, getting ready for rummage sale, etc. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend!
Hi everyone! I've been reading a lot about Idol after the fact...it sounds like Scotty got $250,000 just for winning! Maybe I'll try out next year. Wendy, how are things going? Did Trevor and Taylor have to move? Hope you're all having a good weekend!
