The Ox Yoke Inn is my favorite Amana restaurant. Like many of the other restaurants there, food can be served "Family Style". It always takes me back to those Sunday dinners we had on the farm. L, B, D, and D, did you get your Iowa 2011 Travel Guide in the mail? If you turn to pages 103-104, you'll find info. about the Amana Colonies. Lucille and Bev...I finally responded to your January 17 comments. I know that I have yet to write about a group of comments written a long time ago. Someday, I plan to do so...it's my goal to respond to all comments! Have a great week everyone!

Hi Farm Girl! No, I haven't received my Iowa Travel Guide, but will let you know when I do. I sent an email to my 3 daughters and to Lucas tonight asking them to make some decisions and to let me (us) know soon, so we'll see how that goes. The Amana Colony trip appeals to me since we have never been there. I know the water park will have great appeal to the younger set in our group, too. Thank goodness, the weather warmed up here today to 16 degrees above zero. Seemed like a heat wave. Will let you know what I find out.
ReplyDeleteWe did get the Iowa Travel Guide, thanks, Farm Girl. Jenn didn't say that her present chair is almost 8 years old. She has been trying and trying to get a new one that will be beneficial to her in her OT work, but Medicare only considers use, In Home! I can see why the lawyer in DC last year told Jenn to lie in her app. The Des Moines OT will stretch info as much as she can, without, out and out lying. Sad. isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Bev! Glad to hear that it's "warming up". Hope that most/all of your family will be in Iowa next summer! : )
ReplyDeleteHi Diane! Yes...that is sad. Ridiculous, really. Hope everything works out...after 8 years, it is time for a new chair!
