As you all know, Diane, Jenn, and I have been working on an accurate and up-to-date list of important family dates (anniversaries, birthdays, etc.). Thanks, everyone, for responding so quickly to Diane's request for corrections. I did learn something new this week...Peter's birthday is in November, not December!!! (His birthday is November 25; for some reason, I thought it was coming up on December 23.) And so, better late than never, here's my wish...

Yep, Peter was a Thanksgiving baby. Is it a coincidence that he loves pumpkin pie?
ReplyDelete'Nother memory. Dec. 1973 (?) at Anthon. Kelley, Jennifer, & Leslie in footed pajamas, each a different pastel color, jumping on the floor mattress that was to be their bed. They were like puffy little colored marshmallows. So precious!
middle of the night I looked out the kitchen window towards Eunice Shever‘s house. Smoke rising from their chimney, fat flakes of snow tumbling, all against a navy-blue sky. Absolute silence. It was utterly peaceful and spellbinding and is another moment I’d like to go back and relive.
