You Are Invited...
to join me this month in a trip down memory lane. The Christmas season always brings to mind many memories of childhood holiday traditions and celebrations. I plan to blog about some of my favorite memories and invite you to do so, too. It would be especially great to hear from everyone (from the very young to the young at heart) in the Grant, Van Ornam, Weller, and Wolff families!

I remember the chalk line around the Christmas tree which we could not cross until chores and breakfast were done! Oh, the anticipation, esp. because the dolls were unwrapped, just sitting there waiting to be hugged! I think it was Mom who put her heart and chicken $ into making Christmas special for us, not to discredit Dad, he probably had part in the prep, too. The chuch Christmas program which was usually held at night was always an exciting and special time.
ReplyDeleteDiane...I do not remember the line around the tree! Does anyone else remember? Maybe it was because you six "olders" were WILD and had to be restrained somehow!!! Ha ha! Wish I could go back to those days to visit...I'd definitely be taking it all in.
