Cheers!

There are many explanations for the origin of saying cheers followed by the touching or clinking of glasses. At my house, it started a few weeks ago with the arrival of our newest "two". At his first meal here, he raised his sippy cup, said "Cheers", and clinked D's sippy cup. Now, everyone is getting in on "Cheers". Kids sure like to overgeneralize, so they're not only clinking their sippys...they are clinking spoons, cereal, chicken nuggets, yogurt cups, bananas, bread sticks...you get the picture. Goofy kids. : )

  1. My kids went through the same thing...cheers to everything! Don't worry though..it will only last until the next greatest thing takes it's place! Just what that may be is always a surprise ;)

  3. Hooray, I'm getting the fall leaf background. Very pretty. The waterpark sounds like a good idea to me. We took Tyler and Hailey to one in Aberdeen, SD and they had a blast. I enjoy your blog so much. I'm sure sometimes, you would rather go to bed and sleep, but please keep it up. Retirement in just around the corner?? :)

  4. Hi Bev! Thanks for reading my blog. It has been fun and relatively easy to do (provided that the kids keep me supplied with funny things to write about)! I hope that Kelley, Kyle, T, and H can come to Iowa next summer and have a blast at Lost Island!!! : )
