Can you handle one more post about water? I think so! There's a boat tour in NE Iowa that will take a private group out on the Mississippi River. We'd be able to take our own food and beverages...the boat operator is willing to talk about wildlife, history, etc. of the region.
You have heard me say how much I like being on the water, so I'm looking forward to at least one "boating" adventure next June. If all else fails, I'll float a personal watercraft (aka one of Ty's inflatables) in my bathtub.
Last Thursday, when it was time to get dressed for our party, everyone gladly donned his or her costume. That is, with one exception...Ty.
(When and where did he learn how to use the word "No!"?)
So, this morning, I suggested that Aaron and Jaime try to "catch him off guard". When they arrived at Waterloo's Farmer's Market/ Halloween festival, Aaron took him out of his car seat. Jaime walked up behind him and said, "Tyler, it's cold. You need to wear your coat and hat". On went the costume...sneaky, but brilliant. It worked!!! : ) (It probably also helped that he didn't know that he was a dog. He thought he was a cow...currently, his favorite animal.)
See if you can handle this website:

How cute. Maddie will be Minnie Mouse so I'll see if Lucas can put her picture on Facebook. We just got back from Streeter and the churche's Harvest Fest. The offering was over $50,000.00. Yesm that is the correct number of zeros. So, we are waiting for trick or treating to start soon.
ReplyDeleteI think the post I tried to get to work yesterday was too long, so I'll try to shorten it up tomorrow. Happy Halloween!!
ReplyDeleteThe time is off by 2 hours on these, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Bev! I'm glad that you were able to post your comments. It was nice to talk to you today. How many trick-or-treaters did you end up having at your door? Jaime and Aaron had about 25. I'll have Jaime show me "Minnie Mouse's" picture!! Have a great Monday! : )
